Introduction

Bet On Her ("we," "our," or "the App") is a free iOS application dedicated to women's sports coverage, providing scores, standings, news, podcasts, statistics, and research tools. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and your choices regarding that information.

Information We Collect

Personal Information

We do not collect any personal information. The App does not require account creation, login, or registration. You are never asked to provide your name, email address, phone number, physical address, or any other personally identifiable information.

Device Permissions

The App may request the following device permissions, all of which are optional:

  • Calendar Access: If you choose to add a sports event to your calendar, the App will request access to your device's calendar. This is used solely to create the event you selected. We do not read, store, or transmit any existing calendar data.

  • Background Audio: The App uses background audio capability to allow podcast playback to continue when the App is minimized. No microphone access is requested or used.

Local Preferences

The App stores your preferences locally on your device using standard iOS storage (UserDefaults). This includes:

  • Onboarding completion status

  • Favorite sports, leagues, and teams

  • Enabled news feeds, podcasts, and social accounts

  • Custom RSS feeds, podcasts, or Bluesky accounts you add

  • AI feature disclaimer acceptance

This data never leaves your device. It is not transmitted to us or any third party. It is deleted when you uninstall the App.

Cached Data

The App temporarily caches images (team logos, league icons) and sports data on your device to improve performance. Cached images are automatically deleted after 7 days, and the total cache is limited to 50 MB. All cached data is stored in the standard iOS Caches directory and may be cleared by the operating system at any time.

Third-Party Services and Data Sources

The App fetches publicly available sports data from the following third-party services. No user data is sent to these services — the App only retrieves sports content from them:

All network requests are made over HTTPS (encrypted connections).

Analytics and Tracking

We do not use any analytics, crash reporting, or tracking tools. The App does not integrate any third-party analytics SDKs (such as Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar services). We do not track your usage patterns, session duration, screen views, or any other behavioral data.

Advertising

The App contains no advertisements. We do not integrate any ad networks or advertising SDKs. We do not share any data with advertisers.

AI Features

The App includes an optional AI companion feature that uses Apple's on-device language model (available on supported devices running iOS 26 or later). All AI processing occurs entirely on your device. No prompts, queries, or AI-generated responses are sent to external servers.

Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade any user data with third parties. Since we do not collect personal information, there is no user data to share.

Data Retention

  • Local Preferences: Stored on your device until you uninstall the App or manually reset it.

  • Cached Data: Automatically purged after 7 days for images; sports data caches expire within 15 minutes to 4 hours depending on the data type.

  • No Server-Side Storage: We do not operate servers that store user data. There is no cloud backup of your preferences or activity.

Data Security

All network communications use HTTPS encryption. Since no personal data is collected or transmitted, the risk of data breach affecting user privacy is minimal. Local data is protected by standard iOS sandboxing and device security (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID).

Your Rights and Choices

You have full control over your data:

  • Preferences: You can modify your preferences at any time within the App's settings.

  • Calendar: You can revoke calendar access at any time through iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Calendars.

  • Cache: You can clear the App's cache by uninstalling and reinstalling the App, or through iOS Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Bet On Her.

  • Deletion: Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data, preferences, and caches.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
